2003

I was thirteen back then. She knew it already (althought her band members did not).

I'll be throwing my arms around Paris

Not in the way Morrisey said it, i'm way more optimistic than him. On a better note, I think i'll definitly give Paris a chance this summer. I'll battle my fear of heights, and will get on the top of the Eiffel Tower, because I didn't last time I visited her. My friend Steph will be hosting me in Paris, and i'll host her in Barcelona. That is what I call great economies. Vincent is going to join me in Barcelona, Eloise in Berlin, and Béa, Sarah and Shura in London. I can't wait. It's only a shame because my budget is that tight. Surface to Air Paris? Forget it. I still crave for that metal double ring. I guess i could permit myself one gift. I actually did not buy a single piece of clothing since last September in Barcelona. I feel like a homeless with my old rags straight out from 2006.
Anyways, while we're here; i might get back to printings as well. This military trend is absolutely not for me. The return of boot cuts neither. I might be even ready to wear those beige suits Margiela's-like that he made a year ago. Those printings are cool; it's funny how much every graphic designers is into transforming luxury labels. J.Shiek and P007 did it too before. I still have that Fake Chanel crewneck J.shiek made for me in 2006.

Genesis

In a furious night of insomnia (at 6 A.M, i was still awake); i made a stupid list. In my short life of 21 years, i have loved two men, and liked four of them.

I really like the difference between these two concepts. There’s sometimes a thin line between these two, but I only tend to recover after a few hours for the last category. It’s all a matter of healing.

Individual number one : I said it all several times. I even wrote a 20 000 thousand word story on you. I was way too young to « get it ». At sixteen, you’re far from being a woman. I am still not one.

Individual number two : You are conceptually a whore to me. I liked you for the wrong reasons (think about the fat rich man who like the young stupid bimbo), and you also smell really good. Or maybe it's the American Beauty syndrome?

Individual number three : With you, It was never a matter of physical attraction. It was all about your glow, your life goals, your multiple interests. I don’t even know what hapenned. I hate everything that doesn’t have a clear ending. Ambiguity is not sexy, or is it?

Individual number four : I never loved a man more than you. You are the quintessence of cuteness.

For all of you; this is song I dedicate to you.

Street credibility can be found online

Paris Fashion week awesomeness is almost over. The end of the week was pretty intense, ending in beauty with Hussein Chalayan, Givenchy, Sonia Rykiel, Celine and Karl Legerfeld Ready to Wear collections. It was great, but this year, my attention was really drawn in the direction of the Men fashion week during January 2010. On top of my list, you can see Burberry Prorsum, Louis Vuitton, Junya Watanabe and the lovely Dries Van Noten.

I am currently obsessed with men’s wardrobes. As my friend who study Fashion said; men’s couture is pretty much basic. Not much have changed since centuries. It’s always a matter of tailoring, or a few details added but the basic technic remains the same. That’s how I like men’s clothes. Obviously, when I wrote ‘’Hail to Rad’’, I was thiking about my gay friends, or for my own self. But I would never like my boyfriend to dress up this way. In my own tastes, men have to keep it up simple. A duffel coat, white shirt, levis classic (Or a pair of April 77 if he’s audacious enough), Clark Desert boots, and an old-school Baseball bomber jacket if he’s willing to. A 3 days bears is also a must. For all those who crave for that type of ‘’sartorial street’’ style, safe to say fashion week is not always the best source of inspiration. (Think Raf Simons who went hard with Men’s skirts for FW 10…) I recently discovered that blog, called Street Etiquette, which is honestly the coolest one i found in a while. A tip from Brooklyn boys or New Yorkers is never a bad advice. ;)

Post-nerd era

I haven’t discovered a single new band that I like since the beginning of 2010. I think I am not hunting anymore for cool music. I’m the kind of girl who’s happy with her old records of the Replacements or Nina Simone. Never the less, this morning, I bumped into this performance from kids in elementary school, and it totally blew my mind. It is soooo cute.

On another note, I suggest you go listen to that band, called Passwords which is a band from a couple of my awesome beloved friends. Go listen to the track called Idaho, it makes me want to go to Texas (I'm aware those are two different states, don't worry!) and visit some old friends. (I think I am fantazing about becoming a Globe Trotter. One of my France’s friend, Sarah, is leaving for Austin University in Texas, for a year. And let me tell you that i’m pretty sure that I’ll go visit her, and who knows, maybe visit the Grand Canyon and The West Coast. It seems pretty exiting to me.)

Oh baby, Paris Fashion Week has been good.

A timeless classic; Dries Van Noten.

Celine, by Phoebe Price. Bit more classic, a bit edgy; exactly what I like.
Once again; always; Demeulemeester. I could get an "Antwerp 6" tatoo on my chest.
