Now everybody was born in the 80's
With Michael Jackson's death, the title of this blog entry sounds quite appropriate. The 80's were the decade when pop was at his summum... and so was punk. For Gabrielle's birthday, after a shopping rampage across all (most) the record's store of this city, I finally gave up. I gave up to find her a Smith's vynil. As I heard, everybody jump on them the minute they are on the shelves. Instead, I bought a vynil of The Replacements; the album's name is ''TIM''. It was released in 1985. The year when Michael Jackson decline began, according to La Presse. 3 years before my own birth. Paul Westerberg and his pals never really achieved commercial success, but TIM was ranked #4 in the alternative press top 100. It was the last album released with the original band line-up. I can't help it; ''Kiss me on the bus'' and ''Bastards of young'' are my favourite sougs from em'.
