(My best example is mostly about Arcade Fire...i always refused to listen to em', until one of my College crush forced me to listen to them when he gave me Funeral as a present. I was surprised back then, because he was more into bands like Dillenger Escape plan or...bands that I really hated. Surprisingly, during a few months, I had put on repeat Funeral, and then Neon Bible who was already out at the time. What a silly stuck-up I was)I guess it must be the same with Toronto's Broken Social Scene. I never really listened to them until yesterday. Mostly because this name was on every Anglophone's hipster lips I knew...or somekind of foolish reasons as this one. I have to admit that I hate being not informed. And when I spent my Thursday night with friends, and a guy from BSS...i couldn't support the fact that I never had the initiative to listen to that band before...who have, after all, a reputation and that have played at Late show with David Letterman. Nobody at the office on Wednesday; I litterally listened to every song they had on Youtube. I litterally failed in love with their melody and with their melancholy.

We've got love & hate; it's the only way
I'm a big music snob. No wait; i ain't. I'm not the geeky music nerd, who own every editions, of every Vynils; LP, EP of every obscur band of this planet. But I have to admit that when it comes to a very trendy band or a band that is on everybody's lips; i tend to have no interest. How punk is that... haha.
