I have a strange love affair with Montreal. As much as I despite it some times; I really feel at home. Must be the scent of Parc Extension's indian food restaurants, mixed up with sweat at 4 A.M on the Upper Main and the sweet taste of Olympico's lattes early in the morning. Must be the fact that men (As rare as they are) don't overdress. A pair of classic Levis, straight cut, with a white Fred Perry's polo. The 3 days beard usually just complete the outfit. Must be the fact that I also can bike my ride at 3 A.M and still feel secure. I remember a guy I met when I was 16. His name was Tyler, or Woody. He never wanted me to come back home at night all by myself. (Still don't know if it was a flirting tactic, or just because the guy was really into safety.) He used to live in Detroit. There's a huge amount of things I love about Montreal. There's a few things I loathe also.
But among the things I hate; I must say that winter mandatory calcium (ruining every footwork) is on top of my top 5.
These are suede boots (who use to be in mint conditions) that I bought at Local 23 (23, Bernard St. W) for 35$ last fall. I heart them. I don't usually wear boots in summer; but these are the exceptions. If you never knew, you could possibly think that they are Rachel Comey's. I recommend you go to that Boutique, and Unicorn if you have the chance.
